UPDATES | June 13th, 2026 Commitee Meeting

PRESS RELEASE

Gigi Morrison

6/23/20263 min read

On June 13th, the Esocrypt Committee met online to discuss the future of our cooperative. When we started we had 4 full time volunteer members, now we have 18 part time ones! Our work has stalled in 2026 due to us picking up loose threads from being a small operation for a while.

We're currently building a Press Kit which will also be an artist book of everyone in the cooperative, showing off unique styles and mediums combined with what we've all contributed to the values of the cooperative! That will be available for free here on our website once it's been completed.

Many of our artists are based in the United States and have been called to protest for various causes either by organizations that are friends of ours, or by their own moral compass. We deeply value our artist's right to be outspoken about the causes that matter to them, and encourage them to make strides within whatever space they choose as long as it favors a greater goal of liberation and equality.

We also stand with our global brothers and sisters that are dealing with the weight of American oppression. Our organization has offered ways to donate to people in the Global South who going without food due to United States Imperialism, and ways to build meaningful space for queer people in these countries too. We hope that as we continue to make these links more accessible and continue to to try to uplift communities that need it more will join in our causes.

UPDATES & NOTICES

We hope you will bear with us as we continue to grow and produce more content. Right now Author Gigi Morrison is continuing to work on Esocrypt's Zines and making them more informative about our cooperative and it's missions.

Tetsumi Cowboy will begin streaming for donations to Esocrypt's community pool, featuring other cooperative members. Donations are very important to us in the wake of rapid defunding over the past year by our local arts councils.

GothTalk podcast will come to YouTube this year featuring Cassidy Corpse and Tetsumi Cowboy.

The Lost FIlms of Lubinville, ironically itself now lost media, will return in a completely reshot version fixing many of the issues of the first including audio issues.

COMMITTEE UPDATES

The T.P.L.A., which began as an on-set union specifically for Transgender performers has grown into one of the most effective and hands-on studios here at Esocrypt. Spearheaded by General Secretary Cassandra Corpse, T.P.L.A. has heavily backed Gigi Morrison's issues of Esocrypt Minizine as well as conducted several donation drives.

83.4% of Esocrypt's workforce is involved in the former union, now mutual aid co-op. This gives T.P.L.A. a huge sway in Esocrypt's cooperative-wide voting. The overtly Marxist-Leninist co-op is not only popular with it's members, but also with the minority of members barred from joining the co-op due to not being Transgender.

Cisgender artists from Esocrypt have met with committee leaders to in earnest convince them for membership, even limited forms. These pleas have been left on the door by higher ranking members of the T.P.L.A.

Cassandra Corpse, the matriarchal figure of both cooperatives has been largely absent from the first eight months of democratically elected leadership. Without clear National leadership the Esocrypt Cooperative dissolved into it's 3 larger studios and 6 Independent Artist operations.

"I don't want a bunch of cis people, especially cis men, running around wanting an invite to the sleepover." Cassandra says. "Once it becomes clear that there is more breathing room between our peoples, it'll likely be allowed. But for now I have to walk away from any negotiating with individuals who want to gain access to the sleepover."

Reinvigorated, she along with her partner Tetsumi gathered Esocrypt's artist body with the T.P.L.A. banner. The primarily Trans body of artists needed support in more ways than traditional employment could, and T.P.L.A. provided the resources needed to breath life into the stalled operation.

One can hope this breaks Cassandra's stalled momentum in her first five years. Her new attitude suggests she finally matured into her role and taken initiative to begin producing again. Taking into account how long she has, it is fully possible for her to turn around her first five years as General Secretary.
