CONFERENCE OPENING

For the first time ever, all four members of Esocrypt sit side by side behind the press table in a dimly lit warehouse. Six reporters from various blogs and independent news outlets sit patiently. Admittedly, the scene is more reminiscent of DashCon than a formal press conference, but the air is stirring with ideas of what will be announced.

The panelists include Gigi Morrison, Doc Mondo, River V.C. and Royin Yap here to talk about our respective projects for the first time publicly since Esocrypt's founding. Since 2023 Esocrypt has been so small that constant restructuring was inevitable, but finally we have set dates for a Press Conference and when the date came we all followed through.

Headed by Royin, the press conference kicked off with a thanks to the few reporters who attended, and a request that no pictures or video be taken. Esocrypt artists continue to build and maintain the Adirondack Backlot. There have been talks of beginning a GoFundMe for a second recording Studio space to help us sustain multiple filming projects at a time.

RIVER V.C. ON THE ESOCRYPT COLLECTION, CELLULOID SOULS

Director River V.C. slowly made their way to the podium to begin the series of announcements. They talked about focusing on art that can be added to The Esocrypt Collection, as well as their activist work. They have been protesting, first on-campus now off, only recently being able to take a full step back and focus on creating art. Their artistic work will still hold many of the same values and themes as their theory, River using the words "Politically charged" to describe their approach to creating.

They went on to announce Celluloid Souls season finale will be posted this October, and focus around artist Basil Gogos, known for his work painting the Universal movie monsters.

The Lost Films of Lubinville will be reposted after the audio is fixed.

River then opened with floor to questions. When asked about the reception to the series as a whole, they responded "As a whole i'm incredibly happy. Several videos have hit multiple thousand views, including El Santo which truly I'm grateful for, it really hit the intended audience. As always big thank you to Chingon_Chingon.". When asked about the response to the censorship on the most recent video essay, River said

"It truly would not have gotten as big as it did if we didnt censor EVERYTHING. I had to take an already censored shit fully out of the thumbnail. But I am upset with it. Not even YouTube for requiring it, but for so many people genuinely just WANTING to see the Swastika... also it's called a HakenKreuz you ignorant fuck. Do they know that in multiple European countries it's banned to show it out of respect? Grow up, show me the hate symbol. You grow up, it's my channel and I can censor it if I wanted to."

River then responded to another question asking about their position and ownership of Esocrypt: "Founder is fine I guess. I don't hold any particular power over these people, I would lend my skills to something that they are directing or creating just as much as they do to mine. I'm just the needy one with someone to help me write, and do my audio for video essays."

ROYIN YAP ANNOUNCES REINA PRO-WRESTLING

Royin Yap approached the podium, She then began by explaining how Pro Wrestling is a growing phenomenon in Entertainment and Performance Art. Complimenting how it seems that Pro Wrestling is the only time you can consistently get 200 people to buy tickets to see pretty average performance art. Esocrypt's first Original web series will be titled Reina Pro-Wrestling, a show based in both Lucha Libre and Joshi Puroresu roots.

Doc Mondo referred to Lucha Libre as a "working class peoples" sport and talked about how many use Pro-Wrestling as a way to make it out of tough situations. He explained how Luchadors become respected members not just of their own promotions, but of the culture around them. He announced their intention to join the roster of ReinaPro as a coach and performer to help raise the prestige of the promotion.

Royin Yap has announced that she will be the acting commissioner of ReinaPro as well as begin their in-ring Pro Wrestling career, remarking she wants to run her promotion like the late Antonio Inoki, fighting alongside the rest of the roster.

ReinaPro full episodes will be released and cataloged on their own Patreon, and match highlights and segments will be posted on YouTube. Episodes will go live on Esocrypt's Patreon, but will not be backlogged there as Patreon has limits to how much video can be held on a page. The Esocrypt Patreon is meant for Esocrypt Collection Content, which the ReinaPro episodes won't be added to. More information to come.

She then opened the floor to questions. When asked about first events she responded: "Yeah, we've been talking to local LGBTQ organizations that run live fundraiser events. Right now we're focusing on training and costumes. The Luchador mask is very important to just just the wrestlers but to the Mexican culture. We want to be able to make them with quality and respect before any masked wrestler steps in our ring.". When asked about the first match card, Royin announced "okay yeah, the first episode is going to be a 70s style main event match. Fat white dads used to tune in for a single boxing match, we want to start smaller with a focus on the action. I'll be wrestling Doc Mondo in the very first match."

The questions shifted to Mondo who was asked about wrestling women. Mondo corrected the reporter that Royin is Genderfluid, but still answered: "Men and women wrestle together and against each other all of the time in Mexico. There are even mixed gender tag team belts and some like the Lucha Undergound Championship have been held by both men and women as well." Royin continued: "we're going to have roster members of all genders, and we are going to allow them to wrestle against each other too."
