Milicent Patrick was the unseen mastermind behind many of Universal's classic monsters and aliens, Her contributions were buried by a childish studio head, but her story lives on through the breadcrumbs she left us and the work of historians dedicated to digging up her contributions to makeup, effects, animation and film.
River's documentary work continues in their attempt to blend insightful research with the video essay style they have grown to admire. With a background and study in film and video, the 12-30 minute documentaries hope to shed light on film heroes of the past.
